The next chore was to mix the flour and knead it into dough for bread.
The Little Red Hen again went to ask her neighbors for help.
First she went to Mr. Dog.
"Mr. Dog," she said, " Would you help me mix and knead the flour into bread dough now?"
"I sure will!" happily barked Mr. Dog. "All of you neighbors have been having so much fun getting this bread ready that I would be very disappointed if I didn't have a chance to help out too."
Madam Cow, Young Pig and Miss Cat also wanted to help, so the work went very, very quickly.
