The Casebook of Constable Crab p.22


I was taking a leisurely stroll one morning when my old friend Hermit Crab scuttled up the beach to meet me.

It was easy to see by the anxious look on his face that something bad had happened.

I hurried to set him at his ease--

"Dear old Hermit Crab," I said, "Why the long face--is something the matter?"

"You can say that!

Oh, Constable Crab--I am afraid I am going to have to ask you for your help.

I am really in a tight spot!

Please, my Old Friend--help me!"

"Of course, Hermit!" I replied, "What seems to be the matter?"
